Q. I am trying to get access to the following article: Risk Factors in child maltreatment: a meta-analytic review of the literature and here is the link

to the article http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1359178908000608 I was unable to access it through refworks search or google scholar.

Hi Audrie,

Thanks for your question. Did you know that if you access Google Scholar (or even PubMed) through the SPH Library, you can get the article if we have access to it? Of course, we strongly encourage you to use our databases such as Ovid Medline, PsycINFO, etc on our Databases A-Z page as your primary means to find current, relevant literature. Google Scholar may return thousands of results, but it might not be the most current (or relevant) literature.

If you are going access Google Scholar from the SPH Library homepage:

Select Google Scholar from the Selected Databases menu located above the Announcements section. A Full-Text @ SPH Library link located to the right of the citation is visible if we have access to item.

I was able to get to the PDF of your requested item by going to Scholar through the SPH Library.

To locate online journals, you can also:

1. Click on the link to Search for eJournals in the left menu bar of the SPH Library home page;  OR

2. Enter the name of the journal in the text search box at the bottom of the the left menu bar of the SPH Library home page;   OR

3. Go to: http://tq5wt9yw2k.search.serialssolutions.com/ and search by journal title.
