I am trying to import a downloaded reference from JAMA into Refworks and it asks me for the name of the database. I don't see JAMA on the list. What should I do?
I have imported other references without needing to download a file, but JAMA wants me to download a file, so I am trying to upload into Refworks.

Answer

Yes some publishers and databases do not have a direct export into Refworks. Pubmed also requires you to download and then upload a file. I would suggest using the refworks tagged format if that option is available, or RIS which seems to be the most common. Just make sure when you upload the file into refworks that the import filter/datasource matches the language/format that you selected to donwload the file in.
